I am getting excited about photographing the class of 2021 and thought I would share some suggestions on locations, time of year or time of day and outfit choice. Each senior has different hobbies and likes so make sure your session fits your personality!
Location...I love to go to a variety of places with each session. I will post photos and you can get ideas of areas you like and let me know. Maybe you have a spot in mind near your home. There is Pinicon Ridge Park near Central City, Bailey's Ford and the Whitewater area near Manchester, Hard Scrabble Park and the campus in Hopkinton, Backbone park and areas around Lake Delhi. It is also fun to go to farms and include your barn, corn field or pets! If you are out for a sport we could take pictures on that field. Remember to bring a ball, helmet, bat or glove!
Time of year...If you want to get a jump on things before your schedule gets busy with fall sport practices and activities June and July are great choices. The grass and cornfields are green and you can show off your tan.  Late July and early August offer fields of wildflowers! I get the most requests for sessions in the fall so call early for those appointments. To get the orange and red colors plan on mid October.Â
Time of Day...Late afternoon into the hour before sunset is beautiful lighting. If that is not an option for your schedule we try and find shady locations!
Outfit Choice...Bring at least 4 outfits to give you variety. Try and avoid having too many with large print and logos as it can date your picture and go out of style. Hats make for fun photos!  If we are photographing near a red brick wall solid darker colors such as grey, blue or black work well. Keep in mind your background color and bring clothes that will show up against that. Light blue, gold, orange, red, against green in the summer and blues, teal, black, grey, in the fall for the yellow and orange trees. Remember to bring shirts on a hanger to prevent wrinkles! Â
